I have come to discover that artistes use various forms of
ecstasy as an inspiration to compose good music. This is weird; getting high
doesn’t make everyone creative. Average people abuse drugs when depressed or
emotionally low.
Why listen to their music? Why don’t we emulate the same
lifestyle of using drugs? The reason music makes us feel good is because it
addresses most issues we’re experiencing. It’s also a medication to depression.
After extensive research, I came to realize
that the pressure
these artistes are put in is too much. Record labels have higher expectations
from them. How can one put up an album in three months? These labels have
contracts with artistes obliging them to make music which must sell a given
number of units in a given duration.
The quality of music diminishes as record labels continue frustrating
artistes. This should stop. Music should be made out of freewill.
