Flashing Lights

Just like the usual saying "thieves are born everyday", paparazzis are also born everyday. But who are these paparazzi and what's their purpose in life. Read on to find out what I think.

I was watching the video of Avicii & Conrad Sewell - Taste the Feeling, which is the theme song to Coca-Cola ads, earlier today. It hit me that creatives like Avicii spend most times in their lives creating sounds. They distance themselves from the world to keep their creative juices flowing and

Back From My Blogging Hiatus

After a three-year break, I'm finally back with new exciting stuff to post here on my blog. I simply took the break because I kinda lacked inspiration for new content. Well, I'm back and here to stay. Since I last posted, I've opened my mind to several exciting things that I will be sharing on this blog in my next posts. I thought that this would be the most convenient time for me to revive my blog since micro-blogging sites like Facebook and Twitter failed to give me a reliable platform for expressing myself the way Google Blogger does.

As I embark on this exciting hobby, I'd like to get more feedback from my readers. I kindly urge you to submit your comments below regarding my posts. Your feedback will motivate me to keep generating more content and improve my art of creative writing. For those who have been fans of my blog since I started posting, I'd love to appreciate you all. I'd also love to appreciate new readers for sparing some time to visit my blog. Thank you guys. I promise to keep this blog as active as possible. I also promise to maintain honesty in every post I write.

Quotables

Movie series have a lot of quotables Where words don't translate, music speaks. When music artists are depressed, the studio is their only medication. Even CEOs have their cold moments. To succeed, you have to look at your life in a different perspective. Take charge everyday. No room for excuses. "A convicted fellow can never serve in the board of directors of a public company." - Lucious Lyon. I need a music therapist.

Music

I promise to write about how music rescued me from depression
How it magnified my inner self
And it made visible all parts of me that I couldn't see before

I promise to share with you everything I gathered from music
From self awareness to harsh reality
It's sole purpose was to educate us
Expound upon the knowledge we got from school
Make our lives better by redefining how we view things

Through music I taught myself how to deal with the world negatives
I also discovered that karma is unforgiving
Hate on someone and the same  happens to you
It's just a matter of time
And our actions translate

As I lay on my bed this cold morning
I reflect on what my heart has been through
I also reminisce the good times I had with colleagues
Friends I met during this holiday
There's was a short term
But I enjoyed every second we spent

My journey has been adventurous
The weather has at times behaved
And my feet have always ensured that I kept walking
Though the sole of my shoe is getting old,
I'm certain that I shall find a new pair as soon as I arrive at my destination

For I am blessed!!!

This Far

1994 was the year a prince was brought to this world
It was the year that he finally got his first glimpse of what earth looks like
Inside his mama's womb, the vision was blurry
Now the world is looking up to him
With lots of expectations
That he will make planet earth a better place
And leave a legacy behind

Let's not talk about legacy now
He's just a day old

Twenty one years later

Dickson Machembe is fully grown
He's mature enough to be independent
Gone are the days his dad used to provide everything
The time has come for his younger siblings to celebrate his progress
A role model figure is what they see
A big brother that's going to hold their hand anytime is what they expect
Deep down, his intuition is so strong
Philosophies guide him through every step he makes
Perfection is for a few but he strives for excellence
He grabs and seizes every opportunity that comes along his way
In faith he creeps through every chain
The finish line is visible from his point of view
Only thing remaining is balance

For the Most High has promised guidance and protection all day long

So far, so good

I've been on some elevating shit lately. My mind has really grown as a result of this process. Spiritually, I can now live amongst pessimists and optimists without conflict.

Dad must be proud of me now. His product is legit. First born son is independent. Fully grown and can now pay his bills.

This far is by the grace of God. I'm blessed and continue to feel blessed all day long.

Thursday Interlude

I woke up feeling so good that I might buy a new pair of shoes today. It's an interlude when I act normal, walk with confidence and smile all day. Its unusual, though when it occurs, I embrace it with joy.

Straight from the Dungeons of Trap

I must say that Kenyan Trap music is getting better everyday. There are a lot of young acts redefining this scene.

Kibbz the rapper, Just Waxx, Timmy Tim and Bv Accurate just to name a few, are amazing. Fans get a taste of their greatness from their SoundCloud accounts.

Check out the remix below originally done by Meek Mill and Drake.

Monday Vibes

Today began so well. The boss started off by trying to tease me but later on he found out that I'm very intelligent. All this time he has been underestimating my potential. He has been mistaking my politeness for my weakness.

Truth is that I live a quiet life in a noisy world. Only a few people comprehend my lifestyle. Some think that I'm a sad little boy still in his twenties trying to figure out things. I just look at them with my critical eye and pray that  they see the light one day.

Moral of the story: Everyone has his own uniqueness. Our problem is that we are quick to judge.
